23.4. Summary

SharePoint Designer allows you to move content from one site to another using a number of mechanisms. You learned to use the SharePoint Designer import/export tools to move Web sites, and you learned how to use the import and export wizards for non-SharePoint sites.

You used the SharePoint Designer publishing features to move Web site content from local to remote as well as remote to local, and you also learned how to synchronize content between Web sites. Again, keep in mind that publishing in SharePoint Designer isn't only for SharePoint sites.

I also took you through the steps to change the properties of Web sites by using SharePoint Designer and discussed a number of administrative features available in SharePoint for non-SharePoint sites.
