15.7. Summary

This chapter focused primarily on creating and managing data sources for non-SharePoint and SharePoint sites. You learned how to use the SharePoint Designer interface to create connection strings in non-SharePoint sites and UDC data connections in SharePoint sites.

While it gave you a background on exploiting data sources available for non-SharePoint and SharePoint sites, it also set the pace for the later chapters where I discuss how to use data from these data sources to develop interactive, data-based Web pages.
