Before building a project team and optimizing your resource assignments, you need to define and create your Enterprise Resource Pool.
You can build teams for projects based on many different parameters, including resource skills, location, availability, and/or current workload.
Improve the performance of the Project Professional client over a WAN by disabling the capability to filter for resource availability in the Build Team dialog box.
Run the Resource Substitution Wizard only against a scenario with projects that have not started yet. If possible, do not include projects with tasks in progress for which actual work has been reported in your Resource Substitution scenario.
