Working with Handout and Notes Masters

Handouts are essentially a printing option for PowerPoint. You can print one, two, three, four, six, or nine slides on a page and hand those pages out to your audience to follow along with your presentation, or to take with them as a reminder of key points. In the Handout master you can enter up to two headers and two footers, rearrange or delete placeholders, set the orientation of the handouts, and set the number of slides to print on a page.

Notes can be printed for the benefit of the person making the presentation, providing a handy reference while presenting. Notes consist of a slide along with an area for notes and placeholders for header and footer text. Notes can be entered in the Notes pane of Normal ...
