  • The manifest.xsf file is an XML file that specifies the location and characteristics of the files that constitute an InfoPath form template.

  • The xsf:xDocumentClass element is the document element of the manifest.xsf file.

  • Attributes of the xsf:xDocumentClass element specify whether the form template is a fully trusted form template.

  • The xsf:xDocumentClass element and all its descendant elements are in the XML namespace http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/solutionDefinition.

  • The views of a form template are specified in the xsf:views element. Each view is specified using an xsf:view element.

  • Custom toolbars and menus can be added to form templates using the xsf:toolbar and xsf:menu elements.
