Chapter 5. Working with Templates

With an Office 365 subscription, you can use the Office for iPad apps to create documents. Of course, you can always create documents from scratch, using a blank canvas (see Chapter 4), but Microsoft makes between 14 and 20 templates available to you inside the Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps. A template is a premade document that serves as a starting point for your own document. It usually contains placeholder information that you replace with your own content. By using templates, you get nicely designed documents without having to learn the (often tedious) process of how to make them pretty by yourself.
