Understanding the Function Wizard

Excel's Function Wizard simplifies the use of functions. You can take advantage of the wizard for every one of Excel's functions, from the SUM function to the most complex statistical, mathematical, financial, or engineering function.

You can access the Function Wizard two ways. One way involves selecting the cell where the result is to appear, clicking the Insert Function button (fx), and using the Insert Function dialog box to find a function. The Insert Function dialog box provides you with two methods you can use to find the function you want.
