About the Authors

Craig Stinson has been an industry journalist since 1981, is a contributing editor of PC Magazine, and was editor of Softalk for the IBM Personal Computer, one of the earliest machine-specific computer magazines. He is author or coauthor of more than sixteen Microsoft Press books on Microsoft Windows and Excel. Craig lives with his wife and kids in Bloomington, Indiana.

Mark Dodge was still a professional musician in 1982 when he bought his first computer, a tiny Timex-Sinclair ZX-1000. Within two years, he was off the road and using a Compaq luggable on a daily basis to run spreadsheets in a corporate accounting office.
