Summary
Administrators can monitor Office Communications Servers from the status pane of the Admins Tools MMC, using the Office Communications Server 2007 management pack for Microsoft Operations Manager 2005, and from the Archiving and CDR Server. The management pack for MOM 2005 offers proactive monitoring of the overall health of the deployment. It provides mechanisms to send alerts as well as knowledge-base information to help resolve issues. Call Detail Records enable administrators to monitor usage data and quantify resource usage for various functionalities offered by Office Communications Server. An administrator can use some or all of these functionalities to proactively monitor Office Communications Server 2007.
