The Office applications provide extremely easy access to commands and features via the Office Fluent user interface’s Ribbon. Many other file management commands including printing have been nested in the new Office BackStage. Even though working in the Office applications has never been easier or more intuitive, you may find occasions when you would like to automate a particular series of command by recording a macro.

In this appendix we take a basic look at the process of recording your keystrokes and mouse clicks as part of a macro script. This macro primer includes information on how to add the Developer tab to the Ribbon and enable macros in the Office Trust Center.
