Find Your Way Around File Windows

Each Office file opens in its own window, with its own set of docked toolbars and Elements Gallery. Every file window includes a specific set of elements, including the following:

  • Title bar. The title bar displays the name of the active document. At the left end of the title bar are the three familiar buttons that have the same function in all programs. You can close the window by clicking the red Close button, temporarily hide the window by clicking the yellow Minimize button, and return the window to its default size by clicking the green Restore button.
