ColdStorage is a set of XML Web services that enable users to upload and download information from a "virtual hard drive" on the server. As with the Favorites Service (described at the end of this chapter), Microsoft’s MSDN Web site includes a series of design-to-deployment white papers that cover every aspect of development from envisioning the system to profiling it. These white papers are a treasure trove of minor insights and are generally more interesting than the actual solution.
