This book has two primary goals:

  • To provide tactics and coding techniques that developers can quickly absorb

  • To recommend strategic best practices for architects and business decision makers

The book covers the full range of options for interoperating between Microsoft Office applications and managed Microsoft .NET code and offers detailed, step-by-step tutorials. In addition to tactical guidelines, it offers a broad perspective on the approaches you can use to build managed solutions that are integrated with Office. All of the techniques presented here are at least reasonable and in many cases represent recommended best practice.
