Reading XML with the XmlReader Class

The XmlReader class is an abstract class defined in the System.Xml namespace. It provides functionality that allows you to read an XML document as a sequence of nodes, each node representing an element, attribute, text value, or other component of the XML document. The XmlReader class supports forward-only reading of an XML document and is therefore best suited to applications that do not require navigation through the document in any other direction, such as backwards to previous sibling nodes, or to find the parent or other ancestor of the current node.
