Summary

In this chapter, we looked at the project settings that you use for configuring your project for deployment. We then examined the options for packaging your application using Visual Studio .NET and the CAB Wizard application. We also detailed the contents of the configuration file that CAB Wizard uses to build your CAB files.

We looked at the different ways that you can distribute your application’s CAB files to your users. We talked about installing the .NET Compact Framework and distributing your application in a number of ways, from using the Web to using memory storage cards. We also discussed trickle-feed deployment, where you want your application to be updated over a network connection.
