International currency

The names of international currencies are always lowercase. Examples are the euro and the dollar. If a country or region name is used to specify the currency name, the country or region name is capitalized. Examples are the U.S dollar and the Hong Kong dollar. For official international currency names, see ISO 4217 currency and funds name and code elements.
