Lync Enhanced 911
All the options discussed previously have been based on the Lync network configuration and are dependent on each building or floor having a unique subnet. This might not always be possible or desirable, so Lync Server 2013 has the capability to provide location information to an Emergency Services Service Provider or an Emergency Location Identification Number (ELIN) gateway through a location information database.

Lync E911 is supported only within the United States.
