Archiving Policies in Lync and Exchange

There are several levels of polices that come into play to determine whether Lync archiving integration will be enabled for a user. First, there is the Lync archiving configuration, which can be used to enable or disable archiving integration at the global, site, and pool levels. If archiving to Exchange is enabled at one of these levels, several other policies come into play at an individual user level, depending on whether Lync and Exchange are installed in the same Active Directory forest or in separate forests.
