Codec with Built-in MCU Vendor Examples
The following codecs or endpoints include a built-in MCU that can be joined by Lync endpoints through either native registration or a signaling gateway:
• Cisco C Series and EX Series—Conferences hosted on a Cisco endpoint must be joined through the VCS signaling gateway.
• Polycom HDX with Multipoint—Multipoint conferences on an HDX endpoint can be joined through native registration or through Lync.
• LifeSize Team 220 and Room 220—Conferences hosted on a LifeSize endpoint are joined via Lync native registration.
