Validating Civic Addresses

Lync Server 2013 cannot route emergency calls with location information directly by itself and instead relies on an E911 service provider to route the calls appropriately. To bypass the step of an E911 operator validating an address, all address information can be validated in advance. This validation is done through a web service URL supplied by the service provider.

To configure a service provider, use the following cmdlet:

Set-CsLisServiceProvider -ServiceProviderName <Name> -ValidationServiceUrl <URL from Provider> -CertFileName <Certificate path and filename issued by provider> -Password <Password issued by provider>
