Initiating a Pool Failover
The following procedures can be used to initiate a pool failover for full feature recovery. Voice resiliency will automatically failover and provide users with basic registration and voice routing. The following tasks are required to failover functionality that relies on the SQL back end to the secondary pool such as contact lists, presence, and conferencing. Figure 15.15 provides an overview of the sample configuration used in this scenario.
Caution
Before failing over your Front End pool, check whether the Edge Server is still active in that site. If only the Front End pool is down, but the Edge Server is up and accepting requests, you should adjust the next-hop destination for that Edge Server. Adjust this setting ...
