Dial Plan
A dial plan object is required for dial-in conferencing to normalize numbers entered by users. The normalization rules are used with conferencing to convert extensions entered by users to E.164-formatted numbers that are then matched to a user account. This enables users to enter only their extension instead of full phone number when dialing in to a conference from a phone.
To create a new dial plan to be assigned to dial-in conferencing users, perform the following steps:
1. Open the Lync Server 2010 Control Panel.
2. Click Voice Routing.
3. Click Dial Plan.
