Summary
Lync Server provides a stronger and more flexible integration story that should make many organizations interested in pursuing an Enterprise Voice deployment. The additions, such as media bypass, routing to multiple gateways, and Caller ID controls, address many of the pain points from prior versions. The Survivable Branch Appliances also provide a strong story for branch office sites where they can now continue working without a WAN connection.
