Lync Server makes it more feasible than ever to replace an existing PBX with a full Communications Server architecture. In addition to scaling up the back end, Microsoft has created many improvements that deal with the day-to-day needs to end users and call attendants. Receptionists and help desks greatly appreciate some of the newly introduced call management features and the improvements to existing ones.
