Chapter 9. Data and Triggers

Blend is a tool used to create rich interfaces with data and user interaction that bring life to your application. An important determination in creating a web application is choosing whether or not content and information can be updated quickly—as when manipulating the data of an external file or database—or slowly—such as updating the information and content in an authoring tool like Blend and then republishing or recompiling the entire application. In this chapter, you update content in an application by manipulating an external data source. You’ll bind data sources to objects and add interactions to your interface using triggers.
