Advanced Query Syntax

This appendix provides additional information related to working with Advanced Query Syntax (AQS) when performing queries with Exchange Search. AQS can be used to perform searches with the Exchange Web Services Managed API.

The following Exchange Management Shell cmdlets provide a -SearchQuery parameter that can be used to define an AQS query:

  • New-MailboxSearch
  • Search-Mailbox
  • Set-MailboxSearch

The tables in this appendix outline the AQS keywords that can be used with these cmdlets to perform queries in Exchange Search, along with the EWS Managed API.
