Enabling MRSProxy

MRSProxy is the Mailbox Replication Proxy service. This is a web service that runs on CASs and is designed to enable mailbox moves in and out of the organization. The intention behind MRSProxy is that it provides a safe and secure method to transfer mailbox data between different Exchange organizations without the need to expose Active Directory or Exchange endpoints externally. Inside the boundary of an organization, MRSProxy communicates with MRS to transfer mailbox information as required. In Exchange 2013, MRSProxy essentially redirects incoming connections from the CAS to the Mailbox server that hosts the database for either the source or target mailbox, depending on which is local.
