Moving mailboxes

The ability to move mailboxes between databases is a fundamental operational procedure for Exchange. Because you have to install new servers to deploy Exchange 2013, moving mailboxes is the basic method to migrate user data to Exchange 2013 from earlier servers. Migration also includes hybrid environments, where MRS is capable of moving mailboxes to and from Office 365.

Apart from migration, the other reasons mailboxes are moved include the following:
