Managing Outlook for Mac

Although it shares the Outlook name with its Windows sibling, the Mac version of Outlook is a very different beast. It doesn’t use MAPI, relying exclusively on EWS instead. It lacks some features of the Windows version (such as support for MailTips, Policy Tips, personal archives, data leak prevention policy tips, site mailboxes, modern public folders, and retention policies), but in exchange it adds some Mac-specific features such as the ability to insert pictures easily from an iPhoto library and full integration with Apple’s Spotlight desktop search tool.
