Even though it’s easier to make the transition from an earlier Exchange environment to Exchange Server 2007 than it was to upgrade from Exchange Server 5.5 to Exchange 2000 Server, the process is still relatively involved. There are a number of steps that must be taken in the right order in order to make sure that the risk of data loss remains as close to zero as possible. In this chapter, you completed the process you began in Chapter 6, at which point you took the plunge by installing the initial Exchange Server 2007 server into your environment.
