The following are best practices from this chapter:

• Carefully plan which Exchange Server 2003 servers should use Remote Desktop for Administration or Remote Administration (HTML) for remote management.

• Restrict Remote Desktop for Administration or Remote Administration (HTML) access on Exchange Server 2003 servers that are facing the Internet (for example, limiting access to a predefined IP address or set of IP addresses).

• Have a person in the vicinity of the server that is being managed remotely assist the administrator in case network connectivity is lost.
