Summary

A migration from Exchange 2000 to Exchange Server 2003 is more of an upgrade than an actual migration. The similarities between the two systems make it not as critical or desirable to migrate in many situations. On the other hand, these same similarities also make it very straightforward to migrate and take advantage of advanced Exchange Server 2003 functionality. With proper diligence, the techniques described in this chapter can be used to migrate an existing Exchange 2000 infrastructure to Exchange Server 2003 to realize this functionality.
