One of the last, heavily fought realms for “frontiers” in the messaging world is that of the large, enterprise organizations. Microsoft has invested considerable resources into expanding the install base of Exchange Server into this arena, and has fixed many of the problems with Exchange that previously kept it geared toward small and midsize organizations.

The example of a large organization for the purposes of this chapter is CompanyABC. CompanyABC is a large, multinational medical services company headquartered in Minneapolis.
