The Preferences Dialog
Microsoft Excel's Preferences dialog offers nine categories of options that you can set to customize the way Excel works for you:
View preferences control Excel's on-screen appearance.
Save preferences enable you to set Auto-Recover options.
Calculation preferences control the way Excel calculates formulas.
Edit preferences control editing.
General preferences control general Excel operations.
Transition preferences control options for Excel users who also work with other spreadsheet programs.
Custom Lists preferences enable you to create or modify series lists.
Chart preferences control the active chart and chart tips.
Color preferences control standard, chart fill, and chart line colors.
