Legend
A legend is a box with color-coded labels identifying a chart's data series. You can turn a legend on or off and set its position within the chart area.
Tip
Excel creates the legend based on cells selected as part of the data source. That's why it's a good idea to include headings in the selected range when you create a chart.
To add a legend
1. | In the Chart Options dialog, click the Legend tab to display its options (Figure 51).

2. | Turn on the Show legend check box. |
3. | Select one of the radio buttons for a legend position:
