Chapter 15. Automating operations using VBA

Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a powerful language included in Microsoft Excel that you can use to automate many operations. In Excel 2013, Microsoft extended the VBA library of objects with the DataModel object, which you can use to perform some operations with the PowerPivot data model. Not all the PowerPivot features are available in this first version; many operations (such as adding a calculated column or a calculated field) are still available only through the user interface. But there are some useful features you can use to build interactive and automated reports.
