Chapter 5. Publishing to SharePoint

In the previous chapters of this book, you learned the foundations of Microsoft PowerPivot, the DAX language, and some basic concepts of data modeling. In a world where you were the only consumer of your data, this book would continue by discussing other interesting topics about PowerPivot. Nevertheless, once you have created an interesting report with Microsoft Excel, chances are that you want to share it with your colleagues and, in the world as it is now, teamwork on reports means using a network (either the intranet or the Internet) to deploy the report on a server so that other users can have access to it directly from their PCs.
