IIS 7, 7.5, or 8.0 should be installed and running in native mode before you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server; however if it’s not, the setup files will install it.
Tip
When you install the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server web application on a computer that is running IIS, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server Setup will enable HTTP compression by default. Although no modification is necessary, if you use a different method to compress HTTP communications, you might want to disable this feature. To do this, start IIS Manager, and then modify the compression options.
