Internet-facing deployment (IFD) is a feature that enables users to log on to Microsoft Dynamics CRM with a type of authentication known as claims-based authentication. Claims-based authentication is a method of authentication that prompts users with a web page interface instead of Integrated Windows Authentication. (The default installation for Microsoft Dynamics CRM is Integrated Windows Authentication.)
