Silverlight Web Resources

Silverlight web resources are supported in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 and CRM online for backward compatibility. CRM 2013 supports Silverlight 4.0 for entity forms, and you can use Silverlight 5.0 web resources by hosting them within HTML web resources. Microsoft has released apps for both phone and tablets with the release of CRM 2013. The vision here is to access CRM on any device anywhere. HTML5 is the recommended and preferred client technology moving forward because it can be consumed from any device (unlike Silverlight, which needs its own runtime to execute).
