Forward Mailboxes

Forward mailboxes are used to process incoming emails, and they require a dedicated mailbox to receive and forward them. There are a couple of reasons why you might want to use them. Primarily, you can use a single set of credentials for a single mailbox; however, there is a benefit in polling (only one mailbox is polled) and in taking advantage of Exchange forwarding rules.

Forward mailboxes can process incoming emails without using Microsoft Outlook. This option works only with Microsoft Exchange Server, and it requires having a dedicated mailbox to process the incoming emails.
