Visualizations

In the CRM SDK, charts are referred to as visualizations. The reason for this is that there is a tricky way to add other kinds of charts by writing a little code. You can have charts that are actually web resources that will be displayed side by side with the grid. For example, you could show a Bing Map control in the visualization area instead of a chart. To do this, you need to create a simple XML file where you give it a name and a description, identify the name of the web resource you want to use and the primary entity where you want the visualization to be displayed, and specify whether it will be the default visualization for the entity. Here is an example of the XML file you would need to create for this:
