Fax Activities

Fax Activities (see Figure 7.22) are those related to either incoming or outgoing faxes. Fax Activities are designed to have the actual fax attached to the Notes section of the Activity; they are not used to actually send faxes by default.

Tip

Although there is no included functionality that covers sending or receiving faxes directly from Microsoft CRM, earlier versions offered several options. These included the Business Data Lookup snap-in to look up and view Microsoft CRM data directly in Word, Excel, or Outlook.
