Upgrading a report from the previous version

As learned earlier, reporting has gone through a major change with the new versions of AX. Though SSRS reports were introduced in AX 2009, there were only a handful by then, that too with limited framework support. AX 2012 uses SSRS as a mainstream report while still supporting the legacy framework. Moving reports from AX 2009 to AX 2012, though termed an upgrade, is in reality a redevelopment. This recipe will basically discuss how to map the different implementations in an AX 2009 report to the new framework, and it assumes that the report in AX 2009 is completely custom-developed and not found in AX.
