In this chapter, we learned about the tools and techniques for integration planning and design. We started with understanding the common integration scenarios on ERP implementations and gathering integration requirements. Subsequently, we learned about the available integration technologies in the Dynamics AX application and sample scenarios for recommended use. Depending on your requirements, there are several integration options to choose from. However, AIF is the most commonly used integration option. In the end, we learned about the common industry best practices and recommendations related to integration planning.
