The budget code is the second component that is required to post the budget register entry. The budget codes consists of budget type, and could have a workflow attached to each budget code if it required specific management approvals. To create budget codes, navigate to Budgeting | Setup | Basic budgeting | Budget codes, as shown in the following screenshot:
