Changing fixed asset groups

Changing fixed asset group functions is commonly used to change the fixed asset group to another group. Let's consider that this function will not reclassify the asset from the accounting point of view. Changing the asset from one group to another may use the same asset ID or rename it, and this does not generate any financial entries. To get to the change fixed asset group path, go to Fixed assets | Fixed assets | Fixed assets, then go to the Fixed Asset ribbon, and select Change fixed asset group, as shown in the following screenshot:
