The Original document function fetches the transaction entries posted in the general ledger and reaches the original document that generated those entries.
As shown in the following screenshot, the Original document function in the voucher transaction inquiry form gives the user the ability to reach the original transaction document regardless of whether it is a general ledger entry, sales order, purchase order, or anything else:
