Chapter 23. Site Deployment

At some point in time, you will be faced with the task of moving objects from one MCMS database to another. You may wish to deploy the application from a development server to a production server, either because the first version is ready to go live or perhaps because a new version of the site has been completed. Part of your plan will be to synchronize database objects in the development site with the objects in the production site.

Or your environment has been designed to work with a staging server. Authors update content on a staging server. Once postings have been approved and published, they are deployed to a production server on a regular basis.
