Exploring other approaches

Our solution is not perfect as it sits and for all the advantages that SQL notifications can give us, they have several specific drawbacks. One of the largest drawback is that we will never receive notifications for which the location was disabled. This is a problem because we could potentially miss these important notifications. There are two ways we can approach this problem and one is provided by the adapter itself.
